- Father of two (Koen, Anneke), spouse of one (Joanna), cat owner of one (Ping aka Evil Incarnate). I like being silly because life is too serious (especially working as a social worker). I find when I meet people that can't relax and be a just a little goofy it's off-putting and suspect. What are they hiding? More stuff: I like to run. I like to train for races. In recent history I've completed a couple half-marathons, a couple 25k's, and, drum roll: a full marathon (3:56) in Oct. 2007. It was fun, hard, and a big life goal. Plus I got a medal. Well, it was plastic. What else? I read books. Usually with the intention of finishing them but I get distracted by something else quickly...like a shiny trinket or mysterious noise. I also am overly enthusiastic about beer. Really. I brew beer. I enjoy formulating recipes and hand crafting delicious ales. If there's one thing that runner's like almost as much as running, it's beer. My two favorite brews that I make often are a Pale Ale and a Hefeweizen. It's a fun hobby/obsession. I've also taught my son, who just turned two, how to laugh maniacally. WHOOO-HAHAHAHAH!
